A truly unique 3rd generation facet fusion system, FUSIO enables the spine surgeon to stabilize a diseased intervertebral joint in the spinal column, otherwise known as the facet joint. By utilizing proprietary instrumentation to implant an allograft tissue deep in the facet, the surgeon distracts the intervertebral space promoting stabilization, pain relief, and fusion.
Fusio Facet Fusion System is contraindicated for patients who have gross spinal instability, greater than grade 1 spondylolisthesis, infection, tumor or severe osteoporosis.
FUSIO is the only facet dowel system that uses a technique based approach to prevent dowel migration.
Using the FUSIO proprietary Anti-MigrationReamer, the surgeon creates a void deep in the facet while leaving a cortical rim intact. It is this cortical rim that prevents migration of theallograft dowel promoting spinal stability and an environment for boney fusion.
